June 2011 - New welding helmet BH3 AIR

BH3 AIR is the latest result of Balder's BH3 concept solutions. The basic BH3 welding helmet has been modified for the use in combination with PAPRs. The helmet has an integrated airduct, supplying the fresh air right in front of the mouth and nose region, so just where it is mostly needed. The airflow direction can be adjusted up and down in order to achieve the maximum comfort. There are two easy replaceable face seals available; Standard and Flexi. By the use of any of the two, the BH3 AIR is TH3 certified in combination with Clean AIR Basic Flow Control, as well as with the two new chemical units; Clean AIR Chemical 2F and Clean AIR Chemical 3F.

New BH3 AIR welding helmet, which can be combined with both Flexi and Standard face seal as well as with most Clean AIR power unit sets, has successfully passed all tests according to the EN 12941 standard and gained a certificate for the highest possible protection level TH3.

The Flexi face seal is one of the two face seals which were designed for the new BH3 AIR welding helmet and it is very comfortable and user friendly. Thanks to its flexi and extremely soft material, the face seal perfectly fits all head sizes.

The BH3 AIR set, in combination with the Flexi face seal, achieves the TH3 protection class with Clean AIR Basic Flow Control, as well as with the two new chemical units; Clean AIR Chemical 2F and Clean AIR Chemical 3F.

April 2011 - New line of auto-darkening welding filters "POWER SERIES"

Next to our still relatively new line of "Grand" auto-darkening welding filters, we have recently launched a new Power line of auto-darkening filters. The Power filters deliver the same overall performance as the Grand ones (functionality, ADC Plus technology, 1/1/1/1 optical classes, etc.), with only the size of the viewing area reduced to our standard dimensions of 96 x 46, 5 mm. These high end auto-darkening welding filters were designed specifically for the BH3 welding helmet.

New Clean-air Chemical 2F power unit is one of the few in its field and technologically one of the most improved products currently available on the market. The new 2F unit has a TFT display, a fast charger, is water resistant, and can be equipped with back harnesses and have many other useful features. In addition, the CA Chemical 2F features a closing valve, preventing contaminated air from entering the unit when the filters are removed.

Our "New Generation" of auto-darkening welding filters incorporates advanced Angular Dependence Compensation plus (ADC plus) technology, and uses a revolutionary concept of liquid crystals. The premise is based on High Twist Light Shutter technology (HTLS), together with optimization of other parts of optical assembly allowing for substantially improved angular dependence.

With this new ADC plus technology, Balder gained the DIN Plus certificates with best possible optical test results (1/1/1/1) for the whole range of ADC plus products and it is the only manufacturer on the world, who has achieved the highest possible optical class 1, on a new valid standard EN379.
